Signed Paperbacks

I am (tentatively) rolling out an online bookstore for those of you who would like to directly buy signed paperbacks from me. I say “tentatively” because — aside from this post — I’m not really announcing or advertising the shop yet, and I’m only keeping a small number of books on hand (although when they go out of stock, I’ll order more) and because it will undoubtedly be a slow operation that I’ll adjust as I learn and go along.

For example, right now I can only send to the US while I familiarize myself with the shipping interface, and at this time I’ll only be using USPS Priority Mail — which means shipping is stupidly expensive (starting at $11 for the first book, plus $3 each additional book) until I figure out a better way to calculate shipping and handling costs. I’ll also only be shipping out on Saturdays, since I want to make sure this doesn’t eat too badly into my writing time (even with a small and tentative operation, I know too well how filling and mailing orders can seem to suck away a day.) 

I hope I’ll be able to add international shipping soon, though I worry about the enormous (ridiculous) shipping costs. I might offer a bookplate option instead for international readers but I haven’t worked that through yet.

I still have more stock coming in and books to add, but my initial run-throughs of the checkout process worked out okay, so I am going live. If you have any concerns or questions (or if you’re wondering when a certain book will be in stock) please contact me at shop@katiwilde.com.
