Update on Stone

This has still been taking longer than I wanted and I’m sorry! I have messages and emails waiting that I’m not ignoring–I just keep hoping that I’ll soon have a firm date and I don’t yet, and I hate to answer them not knowing. I’m trying to stay offline as much as possible to get everything done, but I also know radio silence sucks, so here is where I’m at:

I have only a few scenes left to write/rewrite, but it’s just been slower going than I would like. I would like to thank everyone for the awesome support and patience as I was dealing with my personal stuff. I’m happy to say that things have eased up a bit there, but I’ve also run into a deadline on a real life project (something I was desperately hoping to avoid, but life had other plans for me.)

So trying to juggle both in a day that’s never long enough (who needs sleep? 😂😭) I’m still getting about 500 words a day on Stone, but… yeah, I ‘m bad at judging length and my scenes are long, so I don’t have that date yet.

To hurry things along when I do finally get there, I’ve sent the first 100k words/400 pages to a copy editor (thank you, Fedora!) so the final edits can happen as quickly as possible. And I’ll be sending out ARCs about two seconds after I send her the last section.

So that’s the Stone update. Quick other news: I know some if you love audiobooks, so I’m happy to tell you that Tanto will be producing Teacher‘s Pet Wolf, High Moon, and Sheriff‘s Bad Bear in 2020!

So, yay! A little good news?
